ellmyruh @ : Anybody home?
Forgive me father, for my last LJ post was in June. I just looked at my "recent" entries while thinking about the past year, and I have concluded that I basically suck at goals other than ones that are very specific. "Make more money" didn't work. Beating specific race times, however, was tons of fun.
Also, LJ was my last form of actually summing up parts of my life. Now I do that on Twitter and Facebook, where the bits go off into cyberspace and I can't really retrieve them without huge amounts of effort. That's a sad realization.
I might try to salvage the good parts of 2009 into an annual year in review post, though it's going to depress me a little because I did a lot more in 2008. I might also try to form some new goals. Correction: I might also try to form some new non-running goals. The running goals are constant and fun and easy to keep in sight, regardless of whether I'm rehabbing an injury, as I am now. (Sneak peak: Here's to a sub-four hour marathon in 2010!)
Bur I'm not going to do that now, because I'm currently wallowing in a sea of self-loathing/pity, despite being at the very beginning of my four-day weekend.
